Weldon W.I met on Tuesday 13th March, our guest speaker Elizabeth Robinson
gave a humorous selection of stories and poems. The competition for a six line poem was won by Carol Stevens with Jean Freeman coming second.
After an excellent supper prepared by Amanda Cameron and Jean Freeman, president Penny Tighe closed the meeting with a reminder that the next meeting will be on Tuesday 10th April, where the guest speaker will be Alison Robinson talking about Safe Skin Care.
With spring well on its way, you may be thinking about new interests or challenges, the W.I Denman College offers an extensive range of residential and day courses to it's members. So, with the refurbished en-suite rooms, excellent food and surroundings along with the opportunity to meet other members could be just what you are looking for. Come along to the Village Hall in April for a warm welcome and more information.

From small beginnings the Weldon team has now built up to 13 members with a minimum of 10 ringing on a set of 123 handbells.
