Weldon Parish Council Safety Poster

Congratulations must go to Lauren Watkiss for her prize wining leaflet highlighting
'The School Bus' to help children at the Primary School get to school safely. Which we proudly feature on our 'Weldon in the Woods' Magazine front cover.
We hope everybody in the village takes note of her poster and treats all children with
the care they deserve. Lauren was an outstanding winner of the competition and was
a worthy winner of her prize. Her winning entry was rewarded by the Council on Wednesday the 14th of March by Councillor John Walker who presented the prize of vouchers for Art Material at the Weldon CE Primary School morning Assembly Well
done Lauren. Here is the winner with a few more of the school's winning posters,
which are on view around Weldon.

Weldon Village Meeting 5th May

A Village Meeting will be held on Sat 5th May at 10.00 a.m. in the Village Hall.
The Agenda will include:
1. Report on 2011/12 from the Chair of the Parish Council. Chair of the Parish Council, Wendy Groome, will file a short report on the Parish Council's activities in the last year.

2. Village Improvements. We want your ideas on how to spend the budget set aside for anything that you feel would improve the village.

3. Neighbourhood Planning and all that Stuff. A short session to explain what is happening in the planning world and how the Parish Council is addressing current and future challenges. Please put the above date in your diary and come along on the day.

It is important that local people are able to give their views on what is happening in Weldon. Our parish also includes the new properties at Priors Hall and new residents are of course very welcome to attend and take part in the meeting.
The Parish Council has agreed to purchase a TVAS Unit for speed monitoring. This unit is similar nto the one that you may have seen coming into Weekley from Kettering. It will be located initially in Kettering Road facing traffic leaving the village but may be moved from time to time.

If you have any questions, please contact me.
